1. Description of Service

Affirm is a personal wellness app that helps you build a daily affirmation practice. The app uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to optionally block selected apps until you complete a daily affirmation check-in. Affirm also tracks your mood, energy, motivation, and self-belief over time to help you monitor personal growth.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Affirm. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account & Device

Affirm does not require an account. All data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Affirm offers auto-renewable subscriptions managed entirely through the Apple App Store.

• Weekly Plan — billed weekly
• Annual Plan — billed annually
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods — refund requests must be directed to Apple

5. Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.

6. Screen Time & App Blocking

Affirm uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks to block and unblock apps on your device. By granting Screen Time permissions, you acknowledge that:

• The app will restrict access to apps you select until you complete an affirmation
• App blocking and unblocking depends on Apple's Screen Time frameworks functioning correctly
• Affirm is not responsible for any inability to access apps due to system limitations, bugs, or unexpected behavior in Apple's frameworks
• You can revoke Screen Time permissions at any time in your device Settings

7. Content

Affirm provides pre-written affirmations and quotes for personal wellness purposes. This content is for informational and motivational purposes only and does not constitute medical, psychological, or professional advice. If you are experiencing mental health concerns, please consult a qualified professional.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent any security features or access restrictions
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the app or its content

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding in Affirm are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Affirm is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the effectiveness of affirmations on your personal wellbeing.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, inability to access blocked apps, or reliance on app content.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
